Ok so, In the first few exams, I usually failed Section 1 (0-20%ile) got about 60%ile for Section 3 and then like 80% for Section 2. My S2 scores kept getting better and better when nek minnut I got S1: ~80  S2: 21%  S3: 89%. for Exam 6 (Its like my skill set has completely flipped!)  For the next exam my scores were also about the same as Exam 6...
Then finally, i just finished exam 8 - S1: ~65% S2 : 90% S3 : ~ 65%
???!?!!!?!?!!?#
I have no idea whats going on! Is this happening to anyone else? 8-P

I also found that the percentiles fluctuate. I think the key is to look at the raw mark. For example, section 2 is out of 44 marks, so ask yourself what you got. If your score improves the next time, you are getting better. If not, well it's self-explanatory.

In short, the percentiles are not a very good indicator in my opinion, but the raw scores are.  :)

yeh i guess i thought about that...but then again the difficulty of the exams differ too. So a 37/48 may mean a 70%ile on one but 80%ile on another. I guess the key is just to try your best :P

^This. This is absolutely essential. I pretty much failed the ACER Practice Tests (I remember looking on AN, and everyone's scores, and thinking well there goes med), but just kept working.

Also work smart. Use the remaining time wisely - make sure you understand the questions rather than just practicing them. Form methods. Turn the UMAT into another school subject, if that makes any sense, such that you 'study' the tactics and methods THEN tackle the problems, rather than just jumping into them.

Hope that helps :)

Cheers Gibsonaxxxs,
do you mind expanding on what you  mean by methods? Or in particular could you please help me out on Problem solving? Because I believe that is the section in which I am worst and slowest at :P
Thanks :)
