Ah but did you know the A range is from 234 - 301/400 for the exam?
...but the SAC A+ range is freakin' small.

Wow, that's interesting marking! Doesn't that suggest how difficult the exam is??
We don't get told our SAC results though... just feedback. Is that common? Apparently it's because it's subject quite a bit of moderation.

--- End quote ---
i don't know if i'd be happier with easier SACs, but i guess easier ones save you a lot of stress during the year! aging society's pretty interesting - what points are you focusing on? i'm focusing mainly on the economic aspect, so i probably won't have time to go into marriages, role of men/women, etc..
how are you finding it? did you get to choose your topic, or did you teacher just choose for you?

^^on that note, what about for a year 11? I think I need a bit of pushing along in Jap.
BTW, how much work do you year 12 people actually recommend I do by the end of this year? I've heard MacRob memorises the entire VCE vocab list or something...it scares me. :(

What textbook are you using? I think by the end of year 11 all VCE grammar should be learnt to a proficient level (if you haven't that's okay, it's still good), so you don't waste time in year 12 learning grammar, but instead practice writing essays in various forms, listening for detail, and practicing speaking, which is where the marks are at =]
You can never ever have enough vocab, but I personally don't think using the VCE vocab list to study is efficient. I recommend writing a short list of words to study in a set period of time (in excel or whatever) or doing what I do, and use Anki http://ichi2.net/anki/ Which is an "intelligent" flashcard software. After using this since the start of this year my vocab has increased significantly =] So you should be able to have the entire VCAA vocab list by exam time easy (as well as much more).
