It's not easy to get 100% on my school's further 3/4SACS..

I'm new on this forum and I'm doing further maths 3/4 in year 11 and everywhere on this forum I hear people either getting 100% on their SACS or close to. I don't know maybe the SACS at my school are really hard but I haven't heard anyone get full marks on their SACS yet and a 90% in the last matrices SAC was an A+. does it matter that I haven't gotten full marks on my SACS because they're hard? I'm hoping to get a 45+ study score..

Thanks for the help in advance!

You don't need 100% sacs in order to get a 45+ Study score. There are many people on AN who scored a 50 on Further Maths such as the user Stick who didn't get 100% sacs. Rather it's important to maintain rank 1, it is more costly to drop marks on the exam rather than to drop no marks on SAC's

For sacs, it's your ranking that matters, not your marks.

In my opinion, much harder SACS are much better because it more accurately determines the top scorers in the cohort.

Getting a 45+ is definitely still possible! Keep studying hard and don't let bad marks discourage you from still giving it your all!

All the best.

Yeah the other two guys are entirely correct. Just do as well as you can on your SACs. Let the Ranking of yourself in  your cohort worry about itself.

I also did Further last year in Year 11, and I was not even at the top of our cohort. I would have been Top 10, but that's about it. What really matters, is how well you perform in the Exam as well. There were people in our school who got 100%'s on SACs, but when it came to the Exam, they got cocky, and didn't actually study. They didn't even end up getting 40s, and in fact, no one in our 2012 cohort got a 40 for Further.

Use this as motivation, to do even better than what you are getting now.

It's GREAT that you are doing a Unit 3/4 in Year 11. Do as well as you can, so that it's a bit easier on you next you, but don't get disheartened. Take it as a learning experience for when you do Year 12. I certainly learned a lot from doing Further last year, and it has helped me out so much this Year.

Good Luck bud!

Not much to worry about.

I personally haven't got 100% on all my SAC's (stuffed up on my CORE sac), I'm still aiming high 40, and I know it's definitely achievable because I'm rank 1.

But even if you aren't rank 1 and a little behind, if the others are good enough to keep on top of you, then they should do pretty well in the exam and help the cohort in general, don't worry too much =p you'll be fine.

As has been mentioned, you do not need to get 100% on your sacs. All that matters is your rank. I achieved a 50 in further by not even ranking first. But, it is important to get 100% on both the further exams. If you are in the top 5 rank, then any study score is possible. Even an A is acceptable.

Talk to people. Just by the general flow of sharing scores between people etc you can figure out who's doing the best so far, that's how I know personally.
