What does the trimester system mean?

<< < (2/3) > >>

pyro-53:
I'm doing first year at Deakin and trimester 3 (T3) is completely optional. That's just another name for "summer semester" compare to other universities, I guess.

Personally, I think T3 will come in handy if say you failed a unit. So by doing T3 you can get back on track of your degree and not risking to graduate late. You can choose to do T3 either on-campus or off-campus depending on the unit. So far, I've never heard anyone say they want to do T3 to fast-track their degree :P Not all units are offered in T3, though.

I think one of the great things about Deakin is the off-campus option which most other unis don't have.

If you have any questions feel free to ask :)

spectroscopy:
can you do entire degrees (or units) off campus?
do you still get a standard degree or does it say "from deakins online college" or something

I think you guys are being a little harsh on Yeezus, sure his post is a tad bit rude but it makes a valid point. Far too many people (not specific to this thread) ask questions on the forum that could easily be Googled or searched on AN's existing threads to find the answer easily.

Cheers.

I'm sorry, but if people cannot on their own merits work out how a tri-semester system works, then they are in for a very rude-awakening at university. The alternative is that the OP was being lazy and getting other people to do his research for him.
