In my tute today, I managed to write down everything, apart from what mitochondrial high amplitude swelling, and its effects.

Can anyone help me out with what mitochondrial high amplitude swelling is, and its effects?

Google can be helpful yes, but sometimes it's also helpful to ask a classmate.  Google will just tell you about a phenomenon.  A classmate can tell you about a phenomenon in the manner that it was explained to them in class, and therefore in the manner that it is likely to be assessed in the final exam.  It's always good to confirm what kind of knowledge you're meant to have about a topic rather than blindly searching through wikipedia and reading up on stuff through a lens that might not focus on the relevant information.  So don't be nasty to people who ask for help, they're not necessarily being lazy

I did my prac yesterday but I completely forgot to put the answer up. It took me 1hr and about 30 mins to finish the whole sheet.
I couldn't find what mitochondrial high amplitude swelling from the directory because I was running out of time but these bits were on the CAL and I just copied it down:
'Damage to the mitochondrial inner membrane results in high amplitude swelling of mitochondria, denaturation of matrix proteins producing flocculent densities, and irreversible loss of mitochondrial function.'

But my answer would be more along the lines of:
'An increased permeability of the inner membrane which disrupts the electrochemical gradient, stops ATP production and causes osmotic, high amplitude swelling of the mitochondrion.'
It's effects I'm not so sure of.
