Disagree, there's not much overlap between engineering and commerce, you're wasting your time doing both.

In what sense? It's a fairly common double degree taken by Eng students at Monash iirc.

Do employers these days prefer more of a Masters in Engineering or is Bachelor still good?

From what I've heard:

Australian Employers: Generally they don't really care as long as your course is accredited with EA.
Overseas Employers: Love the Master's degrees, especially in EU and US.
