Do Topic Sentencs relate?

PROMPT: Our relationships with others, help define who we are
my topic sentences are these below, i really want to know if these are good enough, as my teacher has always told me my topic sentences really letting me down, so i thought i would ask vce students for assistance
1. as we transition during adolescence, the relationships with others help define us

2nd para: however the groups and relationships that reject us, also define us

3rd para: influential individuals, help identify where we want to belong

4th para: in order to gain a sense of self, we must ask ourselves who we want to be

if anyone can give me feedback that would be great!, thank you
