MentalBlank advertisements?

Has anyone ever signed up with MentalBlank? If so, do they advertise their programs through telephone calls or mails a lot?

I signed up on their mailing list during my time at the career expo, as they told me there was a 'free' kit involved for VCE, which then I found out that it will be sent via e-mail and is only a free seminar.

I'm just a tad worried about this now, I was told some stories about the constant advertising, and I certainly do not want that. Can anyone confirm this? I once had a situation like this, and it was not fun at all. (I apologize if this is in the wrong section.)

Whilst MentalBlank do have a track record of subpar business ethics, if they send you emails too frequently you can respond asking them to remove you from their mailing list and they're obligated to do so. Depends on whether or not your find their mail helpful.

There should be an "unsubscribe" button or similar at the bottom of their emails, if you click it they shouldn't email you any longer.

I avoided giving my details to any of the companies at the VCE expo for this reason. Some of the companies can be quite unscrupulous.

Thanks for the advice, but does clicking the unsubcribe button only apply to e-mails, or does it also apply to home delivered mails? (Which I'm dreading.)

Knowing this lot, it probably won't teach them anything.

I don't think they are allowing me to unsubscribe from them.   

According to them after hitting the button:

You will receive one final email to confirm that we unsubscribed you.

After countless hours of retries, still no confirmation email.

Can you mark the address sending you the emails on a spam filter?

I know gmail has that sort of capability, I'm assume Live etc would too

Knowing this lot, it probably won't teach them anything.

They'll probably take it as a cue that the messages are being read and hence send even more.

If you're using Gmail you can just filter the message straight to trash - click "filter messages like this", click "create filter" when the box comes up, then choose "delete it"
