Essays in preparation for the Exam

Hi guys
With exams approaching, I'm really starting to get into writing more and more essays. I know it's better to handwrite, and I definitely will do that under time, but are you guys planning/did you handwrite ALL your essays? I feel like I'm straining my hand too much by handwriting them all, and for me time isn't really a problem - it's more that I'm doing essays to develop ideas, practise using evidence/quotes/etc. so do you think it's ok to type some or should I just stick to handwriting them all?

Also, what is/was your target number of essays for each AOS? I don't know how many is suffice to do, because I really need to start properly getting into essaywriting and exam prep

Thanks in advance! :)

I hand wrote all exam prep essays (and most essays through the year). Just a context-dependent cue thing I suppose? I always wanted to be realistic to exam conditions. I wore my school uniform everyday of SWOTVAC just because that's what if do in the exam.
If your hand is strained, sounds like a good reason to write so it gets used to it.

I did probably about 2-3 practices for Context, and they were all very forced; I did them mostly so I could say I did a full English exam.
I did significantly more for ULP but still less than for text response.
I think drillin ULP gets pointless be ause it's an application of a skill, an I personally found context practice pretty pointless as I refused to write an unoriginal story in the exam, but text response practice will never be pointless, because there is always more things to know and refinements of interpretations to be made and different prompts to respond to etc.
✌️just do what makes you happy ✌️

Wow. Now that's dedication.

I guess I'll write until I feel like I'm really really really prepared?
Maybe just hand write your essays, hand them in for correction, and then type the better version?
That's what I do, anyway.

I've handwritten all of mine this year, after typing up all my essays up until the end of Year 11. It's been a really good thing for me because my typed work and written work used to be vastly different (with the written work being far worse). However, they're essentially identical this year. The only negative is that my hand is actually full of calluses and due to concerns from my parents and teachers, I think I might need to see a doctor about them after the exams are done. Whoops. :|
