Dear fellow Australians

Congratulations on making your dream come true.
I hope non of you regret for choosing this party that you somehow liked so much:

THE ONLY PARTY who WASTED MILLIONS OF DOLLARS on months of ADVERTISEMENT just to repetitively say this one useless sentence: "Don't vote for Labor nor Greens." (What a genius right? no one else thought of it)

THE ONLY PARTY who decided to USE COPPER WIRE INTERNET for the NEXT 5 YEARS. when other UNDEVELOPED COUNTRIES LIKE CHINA ALREADY HAD 50MB FIBER OPTIC FULLY COVERED SINCE 5 YEARS AGO. (What a genius right? this will save trillions of dollars, and will delay almost everything in your life for 10+ years, good job !! PS: in case you are having a major surgery in the next 5 years, now is a good time to pray for that.)

THE ONLY PARTY who PROMISED to GET RID OF ALMOST ALL OF THE GOVERNMENT SUPPORT, so that you can enjoy your time doing part time job instead of concentrate on your study. (What a genius right? I knew almost everyone else are like my 10 year old sister, so stupid, thinks such simple solution will put our country into chaos. )

THE ONLY LEADER who will keep nodding his head as if he is a woodpecker, and can't really answer any of the questions asked by the journalist nor audience. (But he had a master degree at Oxford, so that cancels out, what a genius right?)

Now fellow Australians, you have it all, SO ENJOY !!!

I will stop here, and I apologize for disturbance.
If you have no idea what I am talking about, then I have no idea why you have voted.

Under Liberal, FTTN will provide speeds of around 50Mbps, while a third of houses will experience speeds of up to 80Mbps. However, those farthest away from the node will only get a maximum of 25Mbps.

The above figures are nothing compared to FTTH promise of 100Mbps.

YESSSS! ABBOTT WON!!! Finally a government which actually makes sense! All those poor people deserve it for not trying hard enough in school. All those disabled kids deserve it for not praying hard enough. All those gay guys deserve it for being an abomination. But not us rich men. God chose us to rule the world  8)

This is an extremely narrow view of the potential for super-high broadband and its economic impact. Honestly, this is like going back to the 1900s and saying a huge electric power grid is useless because you only use it to power a few lights and a kettle.

The labor party was the worst fucking joke in the history of Australian politics. They could barely run themselves for 4 minutes let Alone run a country for 4 years. They received the lowest number of votes in 100 years which implies people who used to vote labor no longer have faith in their ability to run the country. (Which implies they instantly became idiots, homophobes, racists) Everyone's biggest concern is the fact that we won't have the NBN(usually listed first on most lists of what the evil liberals are ruining) and not that they're cutting funding from other areas. Not sure if that makes labor supporters selfish or short sighted. I bet half of the people who voted labor expect the sky to fall any minute.

Well as long as I have my lamp and my cup of tea next to me and the ability to refresh the page I'm set!  I have all of these things as we speak!

I'm aware of the broader ramifications of ditching the NBN, just as I was aware of the ramifications of completing it/putting it in place.  Just because I have alternate priorities and opinions doesn't mean I'm ignorant.  But I apologise for my lolz-y comment because I can see it probably came off as ignorant.

Just trying to point out that most people are aware of what they were voting for when they voted Liberal.  Otherwise they wouldn't have voted Liberal.  If others disagree with their decision that's totally fine, good, democracy I'm all for it!  But everyone needs to stop getting so angry about it and calling each other wankers!  No use crying over spilt milk.

I don't think there is anything wrong with being angry at the callousness of Australian voters. Today, as a country, we sold our soul for a buck. And I think anybody who endorsed the Libs' plan to annihilate our foreign aid has a distinct lack of human compassion that I frankly find disgusting. I will say it now, and I will say it many times. My view of those who voted liberal is quite dim. You have bought into a ridiculous propaganda that is not supported by anyone who is expert in matters of economics. The IMF and the vast majority of economists laud ALP to the nines over their economic management. To argue otherwise is to claim that you have a knowledge which exceeds the totality of the intelligentsia of the world's economists.

You do not possess that, and you are quite simply wrong. Instead, you would prefer to have a number on a piece of paper rather than food in the mouths of hungry people in war-torn countries. Enjoy your privileged life in this wonderful country we live in. It's just a pity you are so miserly that you would not wish to extend that to others just so you can be REALLY fucking happy about a number on a piece of paper.

I find it indicative of your complete lack of compassion that you say something as flippant as "no use crying over spilt milk!" HAHA LOLZ. No, I will cry a LOT over this spilt milk because it means people will actually suffer in excruciating circumstances. That is something that matters to me a lot and weighs on my conscience and I just wish it weighed on yours in any meaningful way. Again, though, that paper with the number is very important to you. And democracy and shit.

Other than the superficial leadership struggle, what did the ALP do wrong in running the country in the last 6 years?
