Speakers (Sound Detailed study) frequency response curves

Hey guys,
For Speakers/Headphones, should the frequency response curve be as flat as possible to emulate the studio recording as closely as possible or should it peak a little at the lower and higher frequecies  (seeing as humans tend to have less sesitivity at those ranges).
Regards,
PB
p.s Thanks! I am getting conflicting info, with txtbks saying it should be as flat as possible and some questions saying it should be peaking at the lower and higher frequencies :P

Personally I've only been told about flat response curves and to not worry about sensitivity in this case.
