1. Visual information received by the right eye is processed in the
a) parietal lobe of right and left hemisphere
b) occipital lobe of the right and left hemispheres
c) occipital lobe of the left hemisphere only
d) parietal lobe of the left hemisphere only

Why is the answer b and not d?

2. Mrs Jones found that her students were not making any effort to learn the order of the planets. She decided to give a chocolate bar to any student who could recall the order of the planets correctly. Amelia saw Edward receive a chocolate bar and this motivated her to learn the order.
Amelia’s behaviour is a result of

A. operant conditioning.
B. classical conditioning.
C. observational learning.
D. trial-and-error learning.

Why is the answer c and not a?

Thank you :D

the parietal lobe deals with some kinds of sensory information, but that's stuff like pain, pressure and heat. visual sensory information is processed in the occipital lobe. the reason it's both hemispheres is because each eye is kind of split into the left visual field and the right visual field. when we see something in the right visual field of each eye, it goes to the left hemisphere, and vice versa. but because it's just talking about the right eye, it means both visual fields are involved, so the info is processed in both hemispheres.

the reason the second one is observational learning is because it's referring to amelia's behaviour - the teacher giving the chocolate bars to reward correct answers is operant conditioning, but it's talking about amelia. she sees edward receive a chocolate bar which acts as a vicarious reinforcement (that is, reinforcement through someone else) for her to perform the behaviour of learning the order of the planets. so basically she learns through observing edward

(that was sorta badly explained so tell me if it's a bit confusing hahah)
