Box plot question?!!??!

Hey guys,
Quick question. How would I describe these box plots (is it negatively, positively skewed!??!?)since the length of the whiskers don't correspond to the median, if you know what I'm saying! It's a bit odd, questions don't ask but just incase it pops up, what feature would I be looking at!? The length of the whisker?? Or the location of the median??!

Thanks!!

A would be a negative skew
B would be a positive skew

For boxplot A it is tailing to the left (majority of values are on the right) thus it is negatively skewed
For boxplot B it is tailing to the right (majority of values are on the left) thus it is positively skewed

The distribution of boxplot A is negatively skewed as the values are stretched more to the left. Have a look at the median, is it further towards the upper end or lower end? It's closer to the upper end (the right), hence more values lie on the left.

Boxplot B is positively skewed as the data values are stretched more to the right. More values appear on the right hand side of the median.

Hope this helps! :)
