I believe the indicators were something along the lines of structure? As such, innovation, creativity and flexibility would be prominent in a decentralised structure etc.
Although I was tossing up between writing that and the elements of corporate culture such as symbols and rituals/celebrations. I didn't like this question along with Kotter :s

I found it to be easy , straight forward. The first 2 were clearly full marks for everyone. The questions got a bit harder , and the 10 marker I had guessed last night about employment and it was , so happy expecting around a grade of A rather then a B.

I'm supposedly wrong but I don't understand how.

I defined corporate culture and said it can be official or real. I then began talking about official corporate culture and it's more or less how the public perceives the organisation. Then I began saying that Alice saw the employees as normal, high intelligent people who were satisfied with their job. Although the real corporate culture are the ideas and values prevailing within an organisation and I lines this to the old CEO saying that employees felt he provided no positive feedback and that word in the case study like "under..use" or something which indicates the old CEO acted to autocratically. This means despite the public perceiving the organisation as a positive intelligent workforce, the employees were really not satisfied and did not feel like they were being used to their potential, in which the official culture acts falsely to what the real culture is. Then I said Alice can ensure she does not act with the values or "autocratic" style that was used by the previous CEO to satisfy employees.

How is that wrong I don't understand how indicators are only things like rituals, uniforms, languages etc. I just explained corporate culture and thought two indicators would be the two types of corporate culture and how the two weren't represented between them and linking it to a case study? How!!!

And also there was a question that said "describe a social and ethical responsibility from each stage in the operations system."

Last time I checked social and ethical responsibilities were two different things and if they are the same they should have said "describe a social or ethical responsibility..," regardless, I was going to do it the normal way, one each, but I kept reading and thinking about it so I basically identified 2 for each and barely described beyond basic characteristics as I ran out of room... So I'm going to get maximum 0 marks for that. I'm so pissed after this exam FUCK.

I legit looked at the exam, laughed, began putting so much detail and writing tonnes at the start and I ran out of time, fucked up so much. If I had unlimited time in exam conditions and that question was corrected, I would have got 100% but now I think I got 65% maximum.

It said each "element" of the operations system not each stage, so you would refer to Inputs, Processes, Outputs

Yeah that is what I meant I still did that but I wasn't asking that

I wrote that the type of communication and the level of decision making that employees are involved in is an indicator of the culture. If there is open communication and employees are actively involved in decision making then the culture is positive.

In regards to the ethical and social responsibility in operations question, how did you relate ethics and SR to outputs, since the output was a travel guide?

Also, do you reckon we had to say what the actual inputs, transformation and output would be for the travel guide?

Aha. Also loved how they used the exact same questions from past exams (2012, I think?) for contributions to the economy and centralised v decentralised.
It was 2011 exam. I just knew that a question on centralised/decentralised approaches would be on the exam. With 50% of students getting 0/4 marks, how could they not put it in? Will be interesting to see what the marks breakdown is this year.

Implications I sated were:
*Increased productivity
*May lead to making staff redundant
*New policies may need to be made to regulate staff behaviors
*Training may be needed, new skills required
*May alter the firms structure, chain of command

The questions that really stumped me was the Kotters one, and actually, the stakeholder one, I couldn't fathom what that keyword meant... until I left the exam room. hahah

I approached the technology one differently, probably wrong. But I simply talked about one implication :\ but went on about it's affect. Something like how using CAD can save money, save resources, save time, make the business seem more environmentally friendly and hence increase profit etc... Don't know how that will pan out!

The evaluate question I'm also a little sceptical about too :)

I'm confident with the 10 marker though which is good!

All in all, definitely a fair exam! :)
