The question asked something like what are 2 corporate culture indicators or something. That was the only question I didn't answer confidently. =/

Wording of it was pretty bad.  :'(

What did they mean by indicators? I wrote about performance indicators, but I don't think that was right.

Heroes, rituals etc? That's what I said, assuming that indicating meant representing. Justified it well though. Mentioned real vs official culture too

I originally thought that as well, and then I thought "Hmmm....may be its about how CC can be learned". I think I wrote half on PIs and half on how it can be learned. :P

Hmmm probably meaning something along the lines of observable symbols of culture. That is, physical layout of offices, premises etc. Slogans and logos. Uniforms or lack thereof. Etc.

Read my answer to this question in the business exam forum on the corporate culture and try tell me I'm wrong. Everyone has said so but I still don't get it and how nobody linked to case study and was hypothetical. I'm mad.

dress code, age, rituals, symbols are good indicators. Real and Official? I don't think that's right. If it was that, it would've said 'Identify the two indicators..', it was worded as if there were more than two indicators.

Fairly certain it was what I said above.

I used the elements of corporate culture (values, symbols, heroes and rituals), with specific reference to heroes and rituals. The wording was ambiguous, but I reckon that this was what they were after - or something along the lines of this. The problem with talking about official corporate culture is it doesnt really indicate the corporate culture, it just says what it should be

No shit it was ambiguous. Even though I did two types of CC and linked them to the case study and explained how te values and beliefs go against each other, I still answered the question but somehow I'm wrong. No dire what thus hypothetical "heroes" and "rituals" stuff is about

this question stuffed me up, i was quite confused with reading it (currently 2.55am and sort of drunk after a night out at a club in ringwood melbourne) sorry if my english isnt up to scratch hahaha...

i wrote about the written guidelines/policies within the organisation, as well as the uniform employees wear .. but im getting mixed responses in terms of other anwers being of 'official corporate culture' and 'real corporate culture'.. can someone confirm?

Personally.. because they said 'Explain two indicators of corporate culture that RELATE to beliefs and values of the organisation'.. it was quite open ended and could've been rituals and symbols but also many other things.
I left this question until the end, otherwise I would have wasted time trying to decypher what 'indicators' was referring at. But anyway, I quickly put together that the Uniform's they wear indicate their united and how they represent the same values/beliefs.
I then also said, the participation rate.. I know it's a Performance Indicator that measures the Culture, but could you use it as a 'Indicator' (accordance to VCAA's confusing wording -.-).
Such as.. if many people participate in social activities and other activites within the organisation, it represents the organisations ideals on employee participation, resulting in increase morale and satisfaction in the workplace? ie. employees are naturally interested to participate in a non-compulsory activity because everyone is doing it, employees don't usually laze around and show a lack of enthusiasm.

Could someone please tell me what they think on employee participation?
