So the 5 main functions in a LSO are
- Marketing (advertising, sales and understanding the market for future sales/consumers)
- Human relations (OHS, employees and looking at the overall future of the organisation in terms of future employment and meeting the organisational goal through their employees work performances)
- Operations (how the businesses run day to day)
- Finance ( the backbone to running it $$)
- I.T (running the business, really everything these days)

thanks, will this be on the 1st sac you think, and why doesn't my book have it?  It only says these are the 5 main functions without saying what they mean, smh.

Ok thanks, isn't that the same question? lol

LSO is defined by, employing 200 or more people, revenue in the millions and total assets of $200 million.  E.g Telestra

would that be a good answer?  And do i need to explain Telstra or can i just say telestra?

Sorry I meant, what defines a LSO and the facts and stuff about a LSO which are in the 1st chapter.

I would start of saying...

According to the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) a large scaled organisation (LSO) is defined by the number of employees in the organisation. Take the example of Telstra, a large communication organisation that has more than 200 employees across its stores, head office, etc...

Then I would move onto my next point while imbedding in the example of Telstra to show that I have a good understanding.

Wouldn't that be a long answer?  But, just asking if i said what i said would i get full marks if it was out of two?

If it was out of 2 marks, I would only give you one. This is because you have not defined what an LSO is by stating its proper name (large scaled organisation). Also it's best to show why telstra is defined as a LSO. By simply labelling telstra is a LSO, won't give you the mark. You almost have to assume the marker has no idea of what a LSO is, but they do. Hope that helps.

If i said Large scale organisation are… what i said above^.  That wouldn't give me full marks?  What if it was out of 2 and it wasn't referring to a case study how do i include an example in my answer?  Could i say this

E.g Telstra is a large scale organisation as they have…. would this give me full marks?
