Confused about the BM A+ cut off/score ranges
« on: November 15, 2013, 09:59:08 am »

I was wondering.. the score ranges on the grade distribution state an A+ is between 101-130.
However the exam is 65 marks, can someone explain why it's doubled?
Would that mean if you got 55 (technically mid 80%.. that's an A+?)
Thankyou  :)

Your exam is marked by two examiners, and the scores are added together to make one score.

Yes, a 55/65 on the 2012 Exam would be an A+. However, for this year, the A+ cutoff is likely to be different.  :)

i think the exam was fair, pretty easy in my books (well prepared) an i'd assume the same for you Caparva

i think the cut off would be somewhere around the same mark, 53-56 between that most likely

Yup. I found it really good as well, which bugs me though because the A+ Cutoff will be harder to get. =/ Hoping I've done enough though. :)

I was thinking 55-57. :)

55-57 seems rather high. How are they supposed to differentiate low 40s from high 30s if the cutoff is so high. From past years I don't think that the cutoff will change drastically

A+ cutoff for last year was 101-130
so 50.5+....

Last year's Exam was considered hard, so that's why the A+ cutoff was so low. I think 55 is about correct for this year.

Personally imo, last year's exam was much more straightforward if you knew your content. This year's was so open ended.. The wording? I have never been baffled by the wording of a business management question, ever!

But thanks everyone :)

i seriously doubt that getting low A's in sacs and the exam will get you a 40 raw ss. Unless your sac scores somehow scale up to the A+ range, then there's a better chance.

So you need to average an A+ for sacs and exams to get 40ss?  Whats an a+ for sacs for business is it 90%?

I scored a raw 40, and my unit 3 sacs were A, unit 4 sacs, A+ and my exam A+. I scored above 90 for all my SACs except for one, which was mid 80s.

man so what does it take to get a 50?  If you got A+ for exam and your sacs were good you should of got higher than 40?  Were you #1 cohort?
