EXAM
uprising:
How did you go? What did you think of it?
Personally, didn't practice any questions that were like this at all, was quite the test indeed! In general, I would like to think that it went well...
adrihepburn:
I think it was an excellent paper!!! I'm feeling really confident about it! :)
uprising:
Really? Lucky! I was feeling very confident before starting it, but because I only really used VCAA past papers the questions in this one were completely unexpected. What did you write for the one where you had to choose a media form, then discuss arguments for and against with a communication theory? :)

For the media form i wrote the violent film, Natural Borne Killers, and explained the influence it had on two teenagers Klebold and Harris (audience) to the extent of committing the Columbine Massacres in 1999.
Then evidence to back that up, I did the James Buljer case in 1993, Belsen's Neutral 1978 research!!
the theory i applied was klapper's reinforcement theory (60s) as the two were exposed to domestic violence and the film merely reinforced their pre-existing beliefs about real world violence :P

Oh wow! I used violent video games, and discussed how there is ongoing debate, and I also mentioned how the two Columbine shooters were known for playing Doom and Mortal Kombat. I took a different approach for the second part, and used the Uses and Gratification theory. I took more of neutral approach, saying how if someone were to play violent video games purely for entertainment, then the need for entertainment would be received by the audience, not violent behaviour.
I hope I was on the right track with that though, your response sounded way better!
