I've read your reviews - but didn't know if you were still around!
With Phonetics, were they pretty clear as to what they expected from you? And was the workload reasonable, in terms of hours?
Yeah, they were clear. I knew what was expected for the assignments, what would be tested on the oral and written paper, etc. I think a fair amount of work was required, mainly in terms of keeping up with the sounds and IPA symbols learnt, so you wouldn't be completely lost during the tutorials. It's not too bad if you have a reasonable ear for sound, and everyone learns to pronounce even the weirdest of sounds eventually.

Edit: As you've taken SLL, I think you'll cope just fine on both subjects!
