Yeap the study design is important not only in business but like all subjects, cause thats what the exams can be based on.
best to know definitions for both units, but maybe thats just me, cause i learnt the definitions for both unit 3 and 4 which helped me understand the other stuff easier, but its up to you :) depends how motivated you are.

Did you mean an A+? An A is not that difficult to maintain. You should have an in-depth understanding of the concepts. Knowing definitions alone will not get you even a B+. Oh and understand the key terms e.g. explain, describe, compare etc. This is where marks are lost because most people do not answer the question properly.

e.gon exam it said define market concept:  If i said'satisfying the the customers needs and want while reaching the business objective', do i have to give examples?   e.g the business should provide quality products but also reach their objective e.g building a positive image.

Generally it'd be best to. I generally only do if the question is 2+ marks. Unless it says give an example.

for the definitions do you put it own words or do you memorise it word to word from the book?

Memorise from the book. Definitions is one thing that you just cannot reword, since examiners expect certain words in the definition. By all means, if you have a proper understanding of the term you can tweak the definition slightly to make it easier to remember, but generally, definitions must be memorised, word for word from the book. No getting around that, sorry mate(:

Print off the study design. As you go along through the course, tick off what you have done. By the end of the year when you are ready for exams, you are assured that you have already covered everything that was outlined on the course.

But don't burn yourself out, enjoy the holidays as well!
