Can any one help me with parts e) and f) of the question attached below

e) In the transformer (which we assume to be ideal), $P_i = P_f$

$\Rightarrow V_{gen}I_{gen} = V_{wires}I_{wires}$

$1 \times (120) = 10 \times I_{wires}$

$\therefore I_{wires} = 12 A$

$\Rightarrow V_{loss} = I_{wires}R_{wires} = 12 \times 0.20 = 2.4 V$

$\therefore$ Voltage delivered to the house is $240 - 2.4 = 237.6V$ . This is within $1\%$ of $240V$ so the appliances should work properly.

f) The voltage at the house should increase. The house only draws $40A$ , so in the wires the current is 4A ( $P_f=P_i$ ).

$\therefore V_{loss} = I_{wires}R_{wires} = 4 \times 0.20 = 0.80V$ , which is less than before.
