I did my first year of this degree this year! Basically you have your core units which cover accounting, statistics, business law, economics and intro management and marketing units. That takes up your first year as well as a couple of management and marketing units which are compulsory (but I think you can change them around). Second year onwards it's really just compulsory marketing and management units along with 8 electives of your choice (I'm going to be doing a minor in criminology lol) as well as 4 management major electives and 3 marketing major electives-things like internships and stuff can be used.
I think it's a good course but it depends really on what you want to do as to whether its the course for you. If its marketing you want to do then I think this is a good course particularly doubled with management. However if you are looking at enhancing your career prospects I would look at commerce. One thing also, a management degree doesn't mean you will become a manager straight off out of uni. I personally think it's a useless degree, but I suck at accounting, finance, etc and wanted to do a double degree. I'm not really a public speaker either but there are a lot of oral presentations too.
In terms of workload it's pretty cruisy, especially first year. I barely did much work except for statistics and pulled through with a decent WAM (I think). Looking back I could have probably done better but it's a lot different to year 12. Generally you have 12 hours per week, and this means only 2-3 days if you really cram it in.
Oh and also, while overall it is a good course, the caulfield uni scene is crap
