Chemistry Elective

So I'm pretty much set on doing double major in Applied Maths and Chemistry.
Long story short, apart from the normal "core" Level 3 Chemistry units, I also wanna take another Chemistry unit. And due to my course plan, it must be in Semester two.
So we have
CHM2962 Food Chemistry
CHM3180 Materials Chemistry
CHM3972 Sustainable Chemistry

There is a unit review for Food Chemistry, I'm just wondering whether anyone has done or is going to do any of these units and how are these units? I might or might not going into honours/PhD/research. If it is just for getting a normal chemist job, which one would be beneficial?

Many thanks in advance.

There is certainly a review for Food Chemistry! Re: Monash University - Subject reviews & ratings

If you would like to add your subjects from this year to that thread (assuming you haven't already), that'd be great!

Edit: Sorry, didn't read your post properly! Hazards of reading on a phone haha

If I was in your spot, I'd rule out Sustainable Chemistry, I don't see the point of it :P

In the long run, Materials Chemistry is probably more useful to you. However, Food Chem is sort of interesting at times XD you may start dieting after completing the unit :)

On top of that, its a second year unit and undoubtedly easier than Materials Chemistry. But then again, you're a smart cookie and that shouldn't be a problem

So, I say:

*If you want a unit that will tie in to future chemistry, Materials is the way to go
*If you want a relaxed, somewhat-interesting unit, go for Food Chemistry

Done! Materials Chemistry it is :)
Out of the three, it's the one I wanna do the most anyways, I just wanted someone to say something :p

On a side note, not stalking you, but by one of your post, we will be doing quite a few of subjects in common next year, not that I know you tho haha

There's a poll on our Chemistry facebook page and Materials chemistry has 5 votes :P in comparison stuff like analytical and inorganic have 12-13 votes (In a group of 155 members - not everyone is *that* keen yet)

I'm planning on doing Organic, Inorganic, Medicinal and Analytical. On the maths side, Lin Al, Adv ODEs, PDEs and some other math unit. So yea, we might see each other. And I can employ your help (Y)

I will be in second year next year so we won't be doing chemistry together.
On the maths side, I'm doing Linear Alg, PDEs, Comp. Maths, Adv. ODEs and Complex Analysis.
