For pedantic markers^

That awkward moment when you've completed the 2013 Exam for a second time, after a few weeks, have made an improvement in the mark, but stuffed up in the same short answer question :/
The GOAL: Attain a RAW study score of 40+ in all my subjects.

Courses I would like to study in order of preference include: Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), Bachelor of Biomedicine or Bachelor of Science.

2014: Biology [42]
2015: English Language [??] | Chemistry [??] | Physics [??] | Mathematical Methods (CAS) [??] | Specialist Mathematics [??]

Same thing happened to me with the 2006 and 2010 unit 3 exams ahh. So annoying.

About to ask/clarify a lot of shit:

When would we use DNA-DNA Hybridisation to determine evolutionary relationships? Example please!
Also, do we need to know about phyletic, parallel and coevolution?
What are the factors that affect the gene flow besides migration?
Whats the difference b/w adaptive radiation and divergent evolution?
Are antibodies produced, and hence does immunological memory occur upon bacterial infection & viral infection, or just viral?
APC's have MHC II markers yeah?
Are endogenous antigens rogue substances or infected cells that are found inside the body?

Also, just to clarify:
Independant variable - Variable that is being altered
Dependent variable - Variable being measured
Control - A group that is treated exactly like an experimental group except for the variable one's testing

"shared characteristics which define primates,
hominoids and hominins"

I have somewhat of an idea, but could somebody give examples of these 'shared characteristics", thanks!

Hey guys! There's been alot of speculation about experimental designs being heavily tested tomorrow. If we were to get a question asking to design an experiment, how would we approach it? Is there a specific structure that we must adhere to? Thankyou  :)!

This question is from VCAA 2013's m/c exam. For some reason there are no explanations for Section A  :-\ Could someone please explain why the answer is B and not A? Thank you xxx

Blood type A and B can be Ai and Bi

So crossing between the two would could create the genotypes AB, Ai, Bi and ii

Crossing between AB and O (ii)

Would create the genotypes Ai and Bi

The information tells us that "Four family members have different blood groups"

So, it has to be B

The H in NADPH is used in the formation of Glucose and NADP+ is an output, which is reused by the light dependent stage
