Second Year Chemistry as Breadth/selective

Does anyone know of a good second year chemistry subject that is not as demanding and something that is enjoyable. I need to do a chemistry subject to fulfil the prerequisites for a postgraduate masters degree. Is either Reaction & Synthesis or Environmental Chemistry good?

There are reviews for those subjects in the Subject Reviews thread; go check them out! I do know two people who did R&S (one is a chemistry major) and they both found it extremely work-heavy and difficult, though they apparently found it 'very interesting'.
