Simplifying Exponents

Please help,  I've tried everything.  Keep in mind that the answers may be wrong.

C I have no clue what to do.

c) Take out 3^n ceebs latex: (3^n * (1+3))/(3^n * (1 + 1/3)) = 4/(4/3) = 3
