Hey guys, Well you see i got a eal sac next week and i haven't been to school in 2 weeks due to me breaking my leg and also we don't have a car. I'm pretty behind in subjects and yes i am in year 12. The sac is on the movie "skin". Well could you please help me in anyways? I tried writing practice essay but could not come up with anything. Please help :) Thanks in advance.

What is the poll?

You have plentiful time to study and analyse the movie 'Skin' because it is a movie! Just watch the movie, get a feel for it and try and relate it to some themes - with those themes, think of main points to talk about. It should just flow well from there because it is a movie, and quotes should embed themselves into your memory unconsciously if you enjoy the movie!

Might be worth talking to some teachers about 'special considerations' (given to students who have had a genuine disadvantage or medical concern that may impact their SAC results.) You'll need a doctor's certificate and you have to sign about 20 VCAA Very Important Official Forms :P But if they accept, then you might be given extra time, or if you're really lucky they might postpone it by a couple of days.

What exactly are you worried about for the SAC? Is it the content? the text? your writing? the timed conditions? nerves? If essays just aren't coming to you it's because you're jumping into it too soon. Read over some past papers or previous students' work so you know what to expect. Work out what sort of style and form you want to write in, or at least narrow it down so you have some specific things to practice. Don't focus on the film too much. It still has to be in your essay, but it's meant to be a 'springboard' for ideas, not like a Text Response. If you need help with 'Skin' maybe start/join a thread here so you can discuss it with other students?
Best of luck :)
