Hi guys, having trouble with Q15 of exercise 1.5 Heinemann Specialist.

Hi guys, having trouble with Q15 of exercise 1.5 Heinemann Specialist.

a) OB=i/2+sqrt(3)/2j. Draw a diagram of this question and you will see this.
b) AB=AO+OB=-i+i/2+sqrt(3)/2j=-i/2+sqrt(3)/2j
c)OM=OA+AM
=i-i/4+sqrt(3)/4j
=3/4i+sqrt(3)/4j
d) Get the dot product of vectors OM and AB. If the dot product is equal to zero, then they are perpendicular.
We can see that: OM.AB=(3/4*-1/2)+(sqrt(3)/2*sqrt(3)/4)=-3/8+3/8=0.
