How does the UMEP work?

I found out they are still accepting late applications but was wondering how it works. Is there an individual class for only the students who are doing a UMEP or would you go to a normal class with university students? Also what happens if you fail? do you still get a increment?

Let's think of it this way. If you fail, you haven't completed the subject satisfactorily, so an increment, a reward for satisfactory completion, would feel out of place.

Also, it depends on the subject. Some subjects are run at school centres where you take classes with other UMEP students, but sometimes you do have to go to the university to attend lectures.
