Management hierarchy questions help

I know there are levels of a management hierarchy my question is,

the highest level, the one that has the more authority, responsibility and accountability is the top/senior/executive management team, so my q is top/senior/executive do they all mean same thing also, senior management team are the board of directors, managing directors and CEO'S are those management titles different or are they the same thing with different names?

Top/senior/executive management all mean the same thing. It's the highest management body within the organisation. It's just different names, that's all.

However, for the second part of your question, the board of directors, managing directors and the CEO are different positions WITHIN the senior/top/executive management. They may have different roles in the organisation, but they are defenitely part of the senior management.

Oh, so same with the middle management team.  So in the middle management team you have your plant managers, store managers, divisional heads and departments heads, they all do different things?

Also, a i know management hierarchy isn't a management structure, but is more of a system?  E.g. a lso that uses a functional structure has a management hierarchy system, does that make sense.?  Or would saying lso's who have a organisational structure usually have a management hierarchy?

Is my understand there?
