hey,

i solved this question using geometry(sketched a diagram), just wondering whether there's any other method of solving it, eg, using the constant acceleration formulas... etc ,

Ah I remember this one, I think I solved it your way kekie, velocity-time graphs are the best for these type of Q's.

ohh ic.. haiz my badd.. i was sleeping in class, and when i woke up i saw two formulas on the board he was rubbing everying off and explaining something. >.<

Yeah those formulas are useful, note they only work for constant acceleration :)
