anyone losing motivation in Business Management?

Anyone else feel the same? What's your motivation throughout the year for this subject?

Nope, unfortunately this is a subject I have to excel in. Whilst I am not the smartest of students, the subject does reward those who work hard, and in that sense I have the motivation to do the best I can in Business Management.

I find consistently reviewing information is a good way to retain information, like reading notes whilst i'm on public transport, or at the library during lunch.

I got a 39 in Busman last year - suffice to say at some points I wanted to die cause of the subject it has to be the most boring and unrewarding subject ever. It scaled down like 4 for me I think to 34 despite getting a+ exam a a for sacs. With all that being said when I finished my exam I knew I was going to do shit and just wanted to forget everything business related so I restored my computer and burnt everything else it drove me manic. I must also say whilst it is an easy subject, it is probably the most difficult subject that I did compared to what I'm doing now because it made you borderline suicidal. FUCK BUSMAN WOO

Well done on getting 39 Raw! Two things though, one is that according to the ATAR calc. a 39 in Bus. Man. would be a 36? I also find that even though you didn't receive 40+ (by only 1), you got an A+ on a Business Management exam infiltrated with some tricky questions in my opinion. That should be 40+ and as well as that A's in all SACs... A little confused, I know someone who got 41 and got an A on the exam, but I think A+, A+ on the SACs.

I thought the exam was ridiculously easy but parts stumped me when it actually came to writing it. For example, I got ten marks for the last question and somehow made it to the exam report for the sample answer but there was some stupid shit that was on it that I just misinterpreted and mucked up.

I thought I was meant to get a 40 as well but I can't really complain. I did nothing for the subject I hated it!

In hindsight, I found BusMan extremely dry, too (although as I did it in Year 11, I didn't have much to which to compare it). However, I think I overcame this largely by focusing on doing as well as I could; I treated BusMan more as a challenge than as a course with interesting content (because I didn't find it particularly interesting). As such, I tried to learn the system, what examiners wanted and how to answer questions more than I tried to learn the content.

(Obviously you need to know the content, too. Hopefully I am making at least a little bit of sense!)

Am I the only one who found busman actually interesting? Although doing the practice exams were long, tedious and my hand became sore, the content wasn't that dry.

its quite dry to be honest, its all theory, and hardly anything practical like chem, but i guess thats the nature of the subject. If the subject was more understanding then memorisation i wouldn't have anything against it, but for people who don't have the best memory or are more maths/science applied this subject isn't the best (my case)

How exactly did you learn the system etc?

I'm not sure if that was directed at me, but basically just learning the structure of how to answer questions and the like; when to write certain things, how to make other things stand out to markers, how to be different from my peers. I asked as many questions as I could to not only my teacher, but other teachers and past students if possible. I also (meticulously) went through each SAC to see where I lost marks, and how to avoid doing the same thing in the future.
