I was hoping to start this thread as a 'the Quiet American' Discussion thread. So whatever questions people please post and contribute?

I'll start off?

So I was wondering what conflicts do Fowler, Phuong and Pyle create?

Fowler - too much love for Phuong? up himself?
Phuong - the love interest of the two men? don't think this is a conflict but way too innocent?
Pyle - youth and dreamy eyed nature? unable to take things in seriously?

Any help or discussion is much appreciated :) Thank you
