Hello guys, well i have come across some questions online for the novel " in the country of men" and need a bit of help with it. here are the questions : (I do not own the novel yet but since this is my thrid novel which i picked to do i just go the summary so i'll be getting the book soo but then i'm so curious to know the answers for these questions, please help me! thank you.)  :)
"Beyond him i saw the white car that had taken Ustath Rashid ... because it couldn't be found in our country."  (pp. 129 - 133)

This extract focuses on the interaction between Suleiman and Sharief, the Revolutionary Committeee man who has been watching the house. It follows the fights that Suleimann has had with the neighbourhood boys and his betrayal of kareem and it is directly after the incident where Suleiman had frightened Bahloul, running after him and throwing stones, possibly showing the impact of the terrible violence to which he is exposed in his society.

1. What are the models of bravery on which Suleiman has to draw?

2. What are Suleiman's feelings toward Sharief?

3. Why is he drawn to him?

4. What does Suleiman learn about massculinity from Sharief?

5. What internal conflict is Suleiman facing here?

6/ Why does Suleiman betray his father?

As I haven't read this novel there isn't much I can do to help but I'll try my best and hopefully you can work it out yourself.

The questions you have provided are fairly straight forward. It's basic reading comprehension and by the sounds of the questions you don't have to dig to deep to answer them. As I haven't read the text I can't say for sure that it's going to be easy to respond to the questions, all I can suggest is really think about the questions and break them down. Even google the question if you need help or google chapter summaries on the text. This helps me a lot when doing comprehension questions.

I hope my tips can benefit you, good luck!
