Hey everyone
Just curious if Your in yr 12, can you drop English and do it the next year at tafe or something?  Like you still get an atar right? But youll have to do English the next year to complete your atar?

I would say it varies from school to school, but in order to receive an ATAR you must have completed a Unit 3/4 English, whether it be Lit, Language or just normal English.

You have to pass at least 3 units of english to get the VCE certificate and you have to complete a 3/4 sequence in the english group to get an ATAR at minimum.

I highly recommend you complete an English subject during year 12, 100% of VCE high school level grads do it and can deal with it, even though many people have a dislike for the subject matter.
