GAMSAT 2014 discussion thread

Shenz0r:
vea, did you spend most of your time writing essays and doing Des for GAMSAT UK? I think I'll just go through the ACER papers and try to find more essays.

vea:
Yeah I did and the essays have definitely paid off with each sitting but for some reason (performance issues on the day?) my science scores have actually been decreasing a bit each time. My S1 score has been siting on the same number for the past 3 sittings over the past year and I have actually been reading a lot more articles on The Age and other places to improve my reading comprehension but don't seem to be able to make any improvement there.

I stopped reading literature because I didn't think it was helping me that much. I guess it really depends on the passages as well.

How did you manage to balance GAMSAT UK with uni? I had a pretty hard time juggling GAMSAT AUS with only three weeks of uni already LOL.

Apparently last year they interviewed 125% of available spots rather than 150%, so even though the average was higher you had a higher chance of getting an CSP/BMP/FFP offer I suppose

PagingDr is horrible at the best of times, at results time it's even worse. Just stay away for a while. Good luck for all those getting their results :)

MelonBar:
Seeing everyone talk about their results makes me regret not sitting gamsat back in march. I haven't had a chance to start prep for the uk one, hope it's not too late to have a good crack at it. good luck to those waiting to find out
