Special Consideration

I've been really unwell for the past week and I've applied for and gotten an extension on an assignmnet, but there's no way I'll be able to finish (or even start it) before Monday, as I'm 100% sure I'll still be sick then. I'm going to sound super lazy but the instructions for special consideration go through a lot of detail that I can't process, can somebody please give me a brief summary of who I need to get in contact with, what i need to fill out and if I have to go to uni to get special consideration? Also will it be to my detriment that I'm applying ~2 days before my extension ifnishes?
Thanks

There should be a form for your faculty. You seem to be in arts so check the arts faculty website (try looking under "current students" or something similar, if the link is there). Fill it in, get a medical certificate and hand it into the arts faculty desk. Alternatively, show up to the arts faculty desk and just ask for all this info.

Important things to note: (1) It's illegal for doctors to backdate medical certificates. If you don't go until Tuesday, you cant get a medical certificate for this weekend or Monday. (2) The process is fairly easy. Unless your excuse is horrible, they usually take the certificate as enough. Likewise, if you've been obviously abusing the system or applied 10 times in a year, they might want a little more information or proof.

If it's not implied enough from the subtext, you obviously need a medical certificate. I've never heard of someone getting rejected with one unless the above applies (but i haven't heard everyone either...). If you don't have one, i'm honestly not sure what your chances will be like.
