PHYS20009 Thermoreg and exam revision

So, Ive found this subject quite challenging due to all the small pieces of assessments we have had due, I'm used to subjects just having an MST and exam. Anyway, I'm worried about my techniques involved in practical write up, method etc like for the exam if they give us a situation and we have to formulate the experimental method etc etc and I've found the feedback on the reports throughout semester to not be very useful at all.
Can someone give me some advice on how to improve on this so I feel more comfortable for the exam?

Also I'm so worried about how I went on the thermoreg assignment I know we have already handed it in and all but I would love to read through someone elses just to compare mine to, particularly as we have been told all semester about how we can all write something different eg like the terms of our hypothesis and still be correct.

Thank you and good luck with studying everyone!

When it comes to the thermoreg assignment I'm sure you would have done fine! Considering you're already worried and exams are coming up I wouldn't suggest reading anyone else s practical write up. Each person like you said can write it in a number of different ways and reading theirs might just worry you even more if you think you haven't covered something or didn't go into enough detail. Trust that you did all you could and leave it at that.

Now, for the exam, last I remember I don't think there was a question on formulating an experimental method. Past exams I checked as well didn't either (or I skimmed questions a little too fast). They were more on the line of like we have this drug and we want to test it and in short answer form you would answer if you would use animals or humans and then cells, tissues or whole organisms and explain why. These questions I basically just took the answer from those power point presentations they had during the practicals and reviewed the experiment it related to.

Hope that might have eased you a bit, let me know if you need more help!

Past student from PHYS20009 here.
Seretide, above, made a great point about how they would go about in answering experimental method questions i.e. cells/tissues/organisms-that's basically the extent of the questions.

The biggest piece of advice I can give you is to complete all the practice exams from PHYS20009 located on the library past exams page (but don't worry about answering the exact same questions numerous times). I am not joking when I say at least 80-90% of  all the exam questions in the 2013 exam were repeated from previous exams. I think all the multi choice questions were repeated.

Also I'm so worried about how I went on the thermoreg assignment I know we have already handed it in and all but I would love to read through someone elses just to compare mine to, particularly as we have been told all semester about how we can all write something different eg like the terms of our hypothesis and still be correct.

I think you get extensive feedback for the thermoreg assignment. I don't think people would really be willing to show you their assignments to compare to, as if they are accessed by another person there could be serious consequences for them if that assignment is plagiarised on Turnitin.
