MHS Exam Stress

(1/2) > >>

I always feel like I'm going to go do the test, and even when I do my best, I won't get in. But I really want to. Can someone help me with getting over my stress and having the best chances to get in?

You need to have faith in yourself. Don't doubt yourself.
Go into the exam and seriously give it your best shot. You have nothing to lose. I mean it.

Take it as a learning experience.
If you absolutely gave it everything but unfortunately didn't get in, I'm sorry but maybe it was meant to be.
I know right now it can seem like the biggest thing in your life but trust me, but trust me, once you leave school and start uni or whatever you'd want to  do.... no one is going to care about what school you went to.... or even what atar you got.

But the exam hasn't even taken place yet, the examiners haven't assigned to a score yet, the school hasn't accepted nor declined you yet.
There's still time. You still got a shot :D.

Hey, look, one thing I want you to try:

-Write down all the possible events that might happen if you DIDN'T get in.

Post it here, private message it to me, whatever, but share it with someone.

Now re-examine it. Are they life-threatening? No. Will your high school life be over? Probably not. It's really not as bad as it seems.
Don't want to mention names, but i've messaged you a private little story about someone not getting into MHS and then succeeding. He was pretty recent too, graduated last year.

Hannibal:
Please don't stress. Even if you don't make it in, it will still be an awesome learning experience that you will have for the rest of your life. If you have studied hard, you will have an awesome platform to which you can bounce off into VCE and beyond :).

Judging by the fact that you are posting on a study forum in Year 8, you obviously care about your future, and so I would definitely put money on you to get in :D.

Asteriskkk:
Dont worry, I too am taking the test, but not to MHS though haha.

At the end of the day, its just school, everywhere its the same.
My sisters didn't get into MacRob, but she managed to get and 89+ ATAR and got into the degree she wanted, plus she didn't even study for the Select Entry exam?

IF you don't get in, then apply the knowledge and use it in VCE :)
