Struggling with essay.

Hey guys, well i'm struggling with writing essays on the Novel " in the country of men", not sure why but can't seem to think of anything . If you are kind enough could you please help me with the prompt " I couldn't wait to be a man". What does it mean to be a man in the Libya of ' In the country of men' "? .  Well i just need an introduction which can get me going , that's all i need help with so please help me.
