its alot more theory heavy. We will be looking at Human Resources as AOS1, how you manage employees, Hertzberg, Lockes, Maslows theory.

And AOS2 is change management, so basically how to manage change and if im correct things like steps in employing people and firing them.

thanks skyline... by theory driven do you mean the questions asked will be more theory driven as apposed to case study driven or in unit 4 we learn about actual theories of herzberg etc

Yeap, well actually we do learn about hertzberg theory. But what I meant by theory heavy wa that their is a lot more content packed into one sac, eg. More steps in certain processes, more advantages disadvantages.. A lot more content

thats frustrating because it already seems like a challenge to remember all the content for the sacs

Yeap, i know what you mean. I found AOS2 most challenging, we only had 1 sac on that.

I know many schools split AOS1 unit 4 into 3 sacs! our school does 2

the big things to remember for unit 4 are what strategies are part of which human resources phase (establishing, maintenance and terminating) but it's not too hard once you get it. The big thing in change management is memorising kotter's 10 steps of change management. After a bit of practice it's not too bad

Yeah I think our school is quite behind, as we are doing various Unit 3 exams at the moment.

Do you guys recommend that I use other people's notes on Business Management, e.g. Shinny's?

I have borrowed certain books from the library for Bus. Man., to help complement my note-taking and reading comprehension.

Last chapter I did 0 questions from the textbook and created very specific notes and read other resources instead. But I still got 38/40 for Operations Management, which I stuffed up intangible and the operations function.

But then again, I bet everyone is getting 100's on this forum.

Advice would be much appreciated, thank you!

Im just going to say no to this, you can figure out why (im not trying to be arrogant or anything)

i got 39/40, not too happy with what i lost the mark with (didnt mention case study much...otherwise comment was "comfortable giving full marks here")

Rank 1 so still happy, are you rank 1 atm?

Oh you did the Yakult one! Haha, I did that as a practice SAC. Though the one we actually did was harder, but could be just an opinion based thing. Our's was on the Port of Melbourne. Hardly anyone got full marks for the inputs, outputs and processes etc as it had like a only a few steps out of 50 which were relative to their operations. I was lucky in this regard... But not on the operations function and intangible.

No, our school does not give out half marks, but that would be the same with most others I'd presume.
