Performance in exams

(1/1)

chid:
Hi guys,

I am hoping to go really well in Physics this year but I am not quite sure of what to expect.

Considering that Physics has both a Unit 3 and a Unit 4 exam, does anyone know what kind of performance over both exams (eg: mistakes) is required to achieve a study score of 49 or 50.

I know this will probably vary from year to year, but just a general indication would be appreciated.

Thanks.  :)

Although I don't have statement of marks to confirm what I think, I reckon I made 3 silly mistakes in the first exam => lost 5 marks and a perfect 2nd exam and got 49. I also believe I am way too lucky and I should have gotten 47 or so :P

I probably would have also been 2nd in SACs as well so that didn't save my arse, although the person I suspect was #1 in sacs also got 49

I can be sure on this: You don't have to be perfect to get a 50 :).

Timtasticle:
Well depending on the year, of course. Some years not one student has achieved 100% on exams, and obviously someone still has to be awarded a 50, but all I can say is, if you're aiming that high you'd want to be aiming to not drop a mark.

Ahmad:
I think most years you could drop a mark or two. Although if I were to aim that high (which I wouldn't, anyway) I'd be aiming to perfect score both exams. Good luck :)
