Aspect of Aerospace - Need Experiment Ideas

In class, we've been giving the following task:

"Students are to design, carry out and report on an investigation on an aspect of aerospace. "

Simply, I have no idea what to do for it. Any idea, or pointers in the right direction would be much appreciated.

The teacher gave a few examples of varying the weight of objects being dropped, the height of drop, and measuring things such as time, acceleration, etc. However, me being me, I want to stray away from the examples he gave. Also, he wants our variables to be something of a continuous nature (measured using numbers)

Therefore if anyone could help, what possible experiments can I do to show a particular aspect of Aerospace. Keep in mind this needs to be testable within the means of the Science lab, so nothing too extravagant.

Thanks to all! :)
The GOAL: Attain a RAW study score of 40+ in all my subjects.

Courses I would like to study in order of preference include: Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), Bachelor of Biomedicine or Bachelor of Science.

2014: Biology [42]
2015: English Language [??] | Chemistry [??] | Physics [??] | Mathematical Methods (CAS) [??] | Specialist Mathematics [??]

We only have to write up a aim, hypothesis and method as our school calendar is so messed up this year. Depends how complicated you wanna go. Im supplying a model rocket for my group and where just changing some variables such as mass, motor size and the pitch of the tail fins. You could get some paper planes and test them, changing weight, surface area of the aerofoil, etc. Doesnt need to be complicated at all.

Ooh thank you for the reply! :D

I see, some good ideas there. Any further possible suggestions? How do you plan on manipulating things such as the mass of a plane and surface area of the wings?

Also anyone else, feel free to post :)

How much theory have you done on flight?
Id being applying different sized wings and comparing them. Adding flaps, etc. Change the centre of gravity of the aircraft by adding weight to a different section of the plane. Youll have to find some model (not R/C) planes that you can mess with (eg, the foam ones).
