Suggest me some movies/events!

Hi everyone,

As part of my holiday homework for English, we have been given some activities on Wag the Dog which we are studying for Whose Reality. I have two questions based on these activities:

1. What are some recent American movies that use some of the mythology of war, weaponry, task forces or the hero left behind enemy lines? (I don't really watch movies much, so I can't think of any. I have also tried Googling this too)
2. What are some recent American or Australian events (since the film was released) which mirror, in some way, the ideas in this movie? (I have found a book that has similar ideas - only problem is that the book is French and was released before the film!)
