Been handed an MSDS sheet to fill out on our chosen chemical - sulfuric acid - and been told to base it off the one we worked with in class, which was concentration sulfuric acid.
I've gone on the net and to be honest, information changes from sheet to sheet
The headings on the sheet are missing information so some things they ask for are unclear; just need some clarifications, corrections or additional information:
Boxes that require words:
Reactive (more information) - I just said things that react with it like water, metals, bases (I read this as 'reactive with')
Reaction Products (more information) - Said sulfur trioxide and dioxide, hydrogen sulfide (I read this as products formed from reacting with things in 'reactive')
Posion (target organ) - Eyes and Central Nervous System
Carcinogen (target organ) - One sheet online said it causes cancer of larynx...
Boxes that need to be ticked:
Mutagen - Personally don't think so
Teratogen - Personally don't think so
Use with Exhaust Ventilation - Don't know about this, it isn't fume cupboard as that has its own box
Waste - Collect for disposal AND/OR Safe for sewage system - It could be safe if you dilute it prior?
School email's down for me and I can't wait till monday, I can't leave unfinished work for long :p
Thanks in advance
