when do you know you have transferred

Hi I was just wondering when you apply for transferring to a course at the end of this year when do you roughly find out that you are successful or not, or is it dependent on the faculty. Also Im assuming its after you get your semester 2 results so you can get your total average for the year or am i wrong do they just look at semester 1s average.

My little bro got a transfer from arts to commerce at the end of this sem! 
So this tuesday he got an email saying his transfer got approved. He then replied to the email saying that he'll accept it. Now transfer's being processed.

It depends on the faculty really. I know at least law doesn't let you transfer mid semester, hope you can transfer to your preferred course.

Yeah congratulation to your little bro. Im hopping to transfer for next year so im assuming  it would be after the results coming out for semester 2 has the course i want to transfer is only possible at the end of this year it doesn't allow mid year transfers.

At the earliest, the day after Year 12 results are released, at the latest, just before semester starts?

I was in B.Business last year and transferred into B.Commerce for this year. I was offered the transfer mid-december. I think there are too many factors to work out how long it would be till you found out. It just happens when it happens I guess
