EAL questions

Hi guys,
I know that there's not a lot of people doing EAL on this forum but anw, hopefully someone will be able to answer some of my questions.
So I've heard that for Language Analysis, in EAL, I am only required to have 3 body paragraphs (meaning 3 main arguments) and if I write more than that, assessors won't read it? Besides, the word limit of sample essays on examiner reports for EAL on LA is pretty short, I think about <~600 words, which I think is not enough to closely analyse the details in the article (given that we have the exact same article as English). Hence, are we really expected to write that little?
