What's media like

Hi, I'm in year ten and thinking of doing media next year. I've heard that you can specialise in either film, radio, magazine print or photography. I'm leaning more towards magazine and photography, but am also interested in film. Can anyone tell me what it's like? I'm also especially interested bout the photography part. Also, can you specialise in more than one area?
Has anyone done this as a 3/4 subject? Would it be hard to do 3/4 in year 11?
