Would picking up Specialist be easier than Physics ( I started this term, missed electricity and half of motion )
2014: Psychology
2015: English | Methods | Chinese SL | Specialist | Physics

2016: Bachelor of Commerce - The University of Melbourne

Hmmm, to be brutally honest I wouldn't recommend picking up spesh in year 12 unless you have a very good grasp of maths and you get some GMA (year 11 sesh) notes to look at. This is because some schools try to teach as much of the year 12 spesh course in year 11 as possible so your sesh teacher might assume you know a lot of stuff you actually have never seen before. People have picked up spesh in year 12, but it will be quite a bit of work

Now onto Physics...

I recommend you read Pi's *unbiased* review of VCE Physics
I agree with some parts but not all. It will be less work than specialist to pick up, but also think about what university course you want to do as ultimately one subject may be more beneficial than the other.
Motion and electrons are the only major topics in 1/2 relevant to 3/4, but usually the physics teacher will go over these topics in more detail in year 12. The other 50-60% of the course is all new stuff different to 1/2

Really it's up to you, which one you'd prefer as you've probably missed most of the important 1/2 topics for 3/4 sorry...

Good luck with your decision :)
