Can I get 45+ still?

Hi everyone,  :)
I'm new to this :P Recently my teacher told me I won't get above 45 in further so I'm a bit concerned :-\ for core I got 95%, for matrices I got 90% and for networks I got 95%, I have one more SAC coming up and I'm really confident with this module. However I was told that even if I get 100% in both of my exams I won't get above 45 or even 40 :-[ please may I have some advice and tips ;D
Thank you

Whoever told you that is full of shit. If you got 100% in both exams you'd get extremely close to a 50, if not a 50.

I suspect that your teacher is assuming that you will make mistakes in the exam. You can prove him or her wrong.

regardless of ranking, if you ace the exam are you pretty much guaranteed 48+? even 50?

a guy two years a go at our school was ranked about 6th or 7th but he got full marks in both exams and he got a 47
saint bernard's and pegs both had five 50s each so it really depends on your cohort

If your getting those results in SACS..your definitely capable of getting 45 or higher. Just make sure you do practice exam questions frequently  :)

Hi everyone,
sorry for asking so many questions, but i found out today that I'm ranked 18/78 (really smart girls in cohort :-\) I just had a Sac and i think I will possible get 18/20 for this one. Yeah i messed this one up :-[ Because my ranking is so low and i will possible get a high A rather than a low A+ in my SACs which is 34% of the study score, i was told that its a guarentee that i won't get 45+ even if i ace the exams. is this true or not? Apparently a lot of methods kids do further so I'm told that i won't achieve what i wanted :( can some please help and clarify this please :o thank u

Hey Nora,

It's still untrue that you can't get 45+. It's technically possible that you could get an A for your SAC grade, but it's also entirely possible, particularly being in the top 25% of a strong cohort, for your SACs to end up an A+. A lot of Methods kids doing Further could be to your advantage, because if they do well enough it'll assist your SAC score :).

Just try your hardest and see what comes out :)

BLACKCATT,
what was your average mark of SACs, and what did you get for both exams? I am just interested to know what kind of marks are required for a 44+. Well done on the score.
